Interviewing is a process.  Before you take any interview you have to think about how you will demonstrate you are an achiever, not just a doer.  Your answers need to crisp and meaningful.  Can you think of situations that demonstrate a particular skill or accomplishment?  What was the scenario?  What action(s) did you take?  What were the results?

Rather than conduct mock interviews, coaching sessions concentrate on general (i.e. “Tell me about yourself”) inquiries as well as industry/position specific questions that may be asked, your responses, a critique of those answers, and collaborative brainstorming to create more impactful answers.  There are typically three, one hour sessions, preceded by an interview.  All are done over the phone.  And yes, you will have some ‘homework’ to do before each session.   We also discuss how to prepare for a phone interview.

The goal is to make you aware of what you are saying and how you are saying it.  This will give you more confidence and help you handle surprises that may occur in the interview.
